This type of door is of a far stronger construction than barrier or heavy duty doors. It is ideally suited to applications where the occupant wishes for peace of mind that they can key lock the door and be confident that considerable and prolonged force would be required to gain access. These doors are constructed and tested to comply with relevant Australian Standard 5039/2003.
An Australian Standard security hinged door must have a concealed lock and hinges to restrict access to the fixings. Therefore either the door jamb to which the security door is to be fixed must be rebated or a jamb adaptor which forms a rebate must be used. Where jamb adaptors are required, an extra cost will be incurred.
